Who we are
Care Resort Chiang Mai is a privately owned and operated retirement and dementia care resort near Chiang Mai, Thailand. For data protection purposes the data controller is [TO CONFIRM: registered business name, registration number and registered address].
What this website collects
The only personal information this site collects is what you type into the enquiry form and send us deliberately: your name, your email address, your telephone number, and whatever you choose to tell us about the person needing care. There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking of any kind.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies. Not necessary ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
There are no third-party requests either. Every asset on this site, including the fonts and the photographs, is served from the same place as the pages themselves. Nothing loads from Google, Meta, a content delivery network, or anyone else. Your visit is not reported to another company.
In practice that means:
- Nothing is stored on your device by this website
- You are not tracked between pages, across visits, or onto other sites
- We cannot tell you how many people visited, because we do not measure it
If analytics or a booking widget is added later, this section will be updated first and a consent mechanism added wherever the law requires one.
Health information
If you enquire about care, you will usually need to tell us about someone's health. In most countries that is a special category of personal data deserving extra protection, and we treat it that way. We use it only to answer your enquiry and to assess what level of care would be appropriate. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not share it with anyone outside the resort.
Why we hold it, and for how long
We hold enquiry information so we can reply to you and, if you go on to arrange care, so that we can deliver it safely. Enquiries that do not lead to a stay are kept for [TO CONFIRM: retention period] and then deleted. Records for people who live or have lived at the resort are kept for as long as Thai law and our duty of care require.
Who we share it with
Our own nursing and care staff, on a need-to-know basis. Hospitals and doctors, where a resident's care requires it. [TO CONFIRM: email provider, and any booking or CRM software used to handle enquiries]. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where your information is held
Care records are held in Thailand. If you contact us from the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia or elsewhere, your information is transferred to Thailand, which may not offer the same statutory protections as your own country. [TO CONFIRM: hosting and email provider locations]
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details on our contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
